This summer I joined Beachbody OnDemand. Think Netflix for online workouts–its basically a subscription to hundreds of workouts accessible on your laptop, tablet, smartphone or basically anywhere you can stream online content. The best part? You can workout from the comfort of your home and get some serious results. AND it’s cheaper than a typical gym membership.
I’ve been doing Beachbody workouts for years. Back in April, I jumpstarted my 2018 fitness goals with Beachbody’s 3-Day Refresh. In just three days I lost 4 pounds and two inches on everything I measured. You can read about that here. Following that, I did Beachbody’s 21 Day Fix program. That’s always been a personal favorite of mine because of the quick toning results. For years it was a program I would follow strictly before vacations or big events. It taught me about food portion control and the workouts were fun–they worked a different part of me every day for only 30 minutes! Plus, I loved how there was a modifier for those starting out and you could still see results.
Since joining Beachbody OnDemand, I’ve loved trying new workouts with access to Beachbody OnDemand–which brings me to LIIFT 4! LIIFT 4 is a brand new Beachbody program created by super trainer Joel Freeman. It builds muscle, burns tons of calories and crushes fat in just four days a week. I’m halfway into the program and have already lost 10 inches. Sound too good to be true?
What is LIIFT 4?
- It’s four days a week for eight weeks
- An efficient, no-nonsense workout that combines weightlifting and calorie-burning high-intensity interval training (HIIT)
- The 30 minutes on average workouts pack in what would normally take 1.5 hours at the gym
- The moves are based on classic lifting techniques that let you isolate, stabilize, and focus each rep on the muscle group you’re working
- Every workout ends with a quick core routine for a full-body build and burn that leaves you shredded
- Every workout is unique and you’ll never do the same workout twice
What do I love about LIIFT 4? Not only do you get a fitness schedule to follow that is exciting and you see real results, but you also get a nutrition plan to follow that is reasonable and you get CHEAT DAYS! You don’t have to cut out food groups–its all about portion control and making smart decisions. I’ve had State Fair crazy food adventures and the occasional treat here and there–and I’ve still lost 10 inches in three weeks.
The Liift4 Program and Nutrition Guide features simple, back-to-basics nutrition with common-sense guidelines that facilitate muscle building and fat burning. No gimmicks, no complicated recipes. Just easy steps designed to deliver serious results. Depending on your weight and your goals, you get so many servings of proteins, veggies, carbs, etc every day.
Like with every Beachbody program, it also encourages a daily dose of Shakeology–your superfood nutritional shake that counts as one of your proteins. I wouldn’t be promoting this drink if it was crap (trust me, I’ve had plenty of nasty protein shakes). In all seriousness, it’s delicious. I’ve been drinking it every day during different seasons of life and I love it. Chocolate is my go to and if you mix in some frozen berries you have yourself a frosted treat. If you try LIIFT 4, I definitely recommend drinking Shakeology, but it’s not required. My brother has lost 14 inches in the last three weeks on LIIFT 4 without drinking it.
